Positioned just 5.5 miles from the charming village of Bakewell this cottage is a great choice for guests looking to experience the joy of a rural retreat but with the ease of village life. Guests can enjoy walking the diverse landscapes of the Peaks from moorlands to rolling hills. For those seeking some culture this cottage is ideally situated for visiting the fine country houses of Calke Sudbury and Keddleston or if true English grandeur is called for the majestic house of Chatsworth is just 8.8 miles away. The historical spa town of Buxton is worth a visit complete with its own theatre and opera house for an evening of culture. The spacious cottage is entered via the kitchen which is equipped with all the necessities for guests during their stay. The kitchen is open plan and leads into a lovely dining area thats perfect for entertaining. The bright and airy lounge completes the open plan living space and provides a wonderful area for a relaxing night in watching TV. A wooden staircase leads from the open plan living area upstairs to the bedrooms. The main bedroom is a charming double and there is a cosy second bedroom which contains two single beds. Both bedrooms in the cottage have en-suite bathrooms with a bath shower-over hand basin and toilet. Outside there is a pretty garden to the front of the property which is shared with the other properties in this location. The garden enjoys sunshine for most of the day into the early evening making it a great spot for a lunch time BBQ. The cottage is one of five in this location. When booked together the cottages sleep up to 16 people. Need to know: Two bedrooms: one double bedroom, one twin bedroom. Two bathrooms. 2 dogs welcome.
