Set in 17 acres and situated in the stunning Cambrian mountains and on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park this delightful property is perfectly located to explore Wales much-loved countryside. Visit the nearby town of Llandovery (2.5 miles) close by delving into local pubs or exploring the market towns historic castle (3 miles). Put on your walking boots or prepare mountain bikes for trips to the Brecon Beacons enjoying a waterfront walk by the Usk Reservoir (13 miles) or exploring the vast Pen y Fan (21 miles). Closer to home set off from your very doorstep to explore the owners woodlands and the vast Crychan Forest. This lovely stone cottage is believed to date from the 1700s and is found via a private lane adjacent to the owners property (once an old hunting lodge). Set in a peaceful and tranquil location and offering a real welcoming home from home experience. Original features such as oak beams and an inglenook fireplace highlight the true beauty of this country property. Step inside and discover a well-appointed family kitchen/diner well-equipped with electric oven ceramic hob fridge freezer dishwasher and microwave plus a spacious dining table for family meals. Enjoy long evenings relaxing in the spacious lounge throwing some logs in the wood burner to create an entirely cosy ambience. The front picture window boats a large window-seat overlooking the terrace and hills beyond ideal for bird watching or relaxing with a good book! A TV and DVD player will keep both adults and younger guests entertained. Visitors with canine company can utilise the handy utility room for cleaning wet paws and washing machine for dirty towels. There is also a ground-floor WC. When its time for bed climb a flight of stairs to find two spacious and charming bedrooms both with stunning views over the valley. The super-king-size bed guarantees a great nights sleep and the twin bedroom with optional Z-bed is a great space for a kids sleepover. There are also two well-appointed bathrooms: an en-suite shower room with WC and a family bathroom with a bath shower attachment and WC. This fabulous rural retreat benefits from having acres of space for children and dogs to play. A large enclosed garden and a decked terrace overlooking the river offer the ideal setting for alfresco evenings utilising the outdoor furniture and BBQ. A stone and slate terrace with built in seating and a fire pit is a must for watching the fabulous dark skies of Wales a telescope is available to borrow for an all-together astronomical evening! There is also an enclosed well managed private woodland equipped with seating dotted throughout. There is ample parking available as well as both bicycle and motorbike secure lockup. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 super king size and 1 twin bedroom. 2 bathrooms 1 en suite with shower and WC and 1 family bathroom with WC and bath with shower attachment. Electric oven, ceramic hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Utility room with washing machine and separate WC. Wood burner (first baskets of logs included). TV/DVD. Wi Fi included. Enclosed garden and private woodland. BBQ and firepit. 2 dogs welcome free of charge (dog sitting available by prior arrangement and at an additional charge, please note dogs allowed on ground floor only). Secure storage for bikes.
