The village of Near Sawrey is very close to Hill Top the former home of Beatrix Potter is now open to visitors and offers a wonderful insight into the authors life. There is also a pub and restaurant in the village whilst just down the road the neighbouring village of Far Sawrey is a must see. Lake Windermere is just 2.5 miles away as is the ferry terminal from where regular boats run across to the town of Bowness. This stunning property offers single-storey accommodation sleeping eight guests and is reached via a quiet track lane. On entering the property guests will come to the welcoming hall which offers a lounge area with comfortable seating next to the wood burner-effect electric fire. To the left of this space is the spacious kitchen/diner which offers a well-sized dining table and well-equipped kitchen with oven hob microwave fridge/freezer and dishwasher whilst the washing machine and tumble dryer are located in the nearby utility room. The propertys main lounge has large floor-to-ceiling windows which flood the room with light as well as wood burner comfortable seating well-stocked bookcase TV and DVD. Three of the propertys bedrooms are located in the main house: a double room a twin room (which can be made up as a king-size on request) and a bunk bedroom. The main bathroom has a shower over the bath and there is also a separate shower room with WC. The fourth bedroom another twin room is in a separate summer house. This room benefits from a wet room with shower and WC. Outside the property enjoys a stunning four-acres of gardens with lawn areas tucked away corners benches and a swing. There is also a covered veranda at the front of the property from where guests can enjoy the stunning views over Esthwaite Water from the provided seating table and benches.
