The beach offers lots of free entertainment for children whether it is roaming the rock pools playing in the surf building sand castles or flying kites. The village has a choice of restaurants bars shops cafes amusements and a championship links golf course. The riverside market town of Bideford is a short drive and offers shops and pannier market the port is also home to the Oldenburg for day trips to Lundy Island. The fishing village of Appledore is close by with a tidal passenger ferry to Instow. Barnstaple is just 10 miles away with shopping cinema and theatre.
