Old Mission Hall cottage Scotland
Old Mission Hall is a delightful, detached cottage boasting a lochside location, 1.5 miles from the village of Cromore on the Isle of Lewis. With one king-size double bedroom, plus double sofa beds in the sitting area and conservatory, this cottage can sleep four people. The rest of the cottage includes an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with a woodburner, plus a bright conservatory. Outside is ample off road parking, a decked area and a lawned garden with furniture. Old Mission Hall boasts beautiful views, direct access to Loch Cromore for trout fishing and offers the perfect romantic retreat for those looking to get lost in the remote yet rich beauty of the Outer Hebrides.
Settled along the coast of the Isle of Lewis, between Loch Cromore and Loch Erisort, the small but friendly crofting township of Cromore is isolated, yet thriving with the undisturbed beauty of the wild Outer Hebrides. This former fishing village offers footpaths that trail through breathtaking scenery, home to an abundance of wildlife including native nesting sea birds. To the west of the village you can discover the weatherworn ruins of the 16th century church of St Columba that lookout to sea. There are plenty of fishing opportunities, whether your preference is for the waves or the calmer lochs, and local amenities including a pub serving traditional food, a village shop and a café are within a short drive. Stornoway, the only town in the Outer Hebrides, can be reached within an hour`s drive, offering a working harbour and a fantastic array of shops and award-winning restaurants serving local food.
