Pegs Cottage cottage North York Moors and Coast
Peg`s Cottage, a delightful, detached, stone cottage, is set solely over the ground floor in a little hamlet just two miles from the market town of Helmsley in North Yorkshire. Perfect for a romantic break away, the cottage can sleep two people in one double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. There is a kitchen and a sitting room with a cosy gas fire and a dining area where you can enjoy romantic, candlelit meals. Outside, a garden and patio with furniture are perfect for enjoying the summer sun, and there is off road parking for two cars. Peg`s Cottage is a wonderful base a couples getaway exploring North Yorkshire, all year round!
On the southern edge of the North York Moors National Park is the prestigious market town of Helmsley. Lying in a sheltered corner of Upper Ryedale, this lovely settlement boasts a spacious market square surrounded by houses, hotels and shops as well as a 12th Century castle. English Heritage`s Rievaulx Abbey is close by too and there is a multitude of excellent walks in the near vicinity, the most well known of these - the Cleveland Way, starting in the village itself. The region`s capital of York is less than an hour`s drive to the south, whilst Scarborough and the east coast just over an hour. The famous steam railway line at Pickering is just a thirty minute drive away.
