Situated in the heart of the pretty and historic village of Cerne Abbas, Phoenix Cottage is a well presented and comfortable holiday home, perfect for those wanting to explore the beautiful Dorset countryside. The vibrant town of Dorchester is just six miles away or you can take a trip further afield to explore the Jurassic Coast and maybe collect some fossils.
The open-plan bespoke country kitchen with range cooker and dining area is a sociable and light space; ideal for rustling up some fabulous home cooked meals whilst chatting to family and friends. This property has something for everyone; there is a ground floor family room, perfect for some quiet reading time or for engaging in a board game; along with a main sitting room up on the first floor with ample seating and a Smart television. When it’s time for bed there two comfortable king-size bedrooms and a further twin room on the first floor.
Outside there is a pretty enclosed garden with furniture and steps up to the lawn. If you feel like taking a stroll after dinner, the famous chalk Cerne Giant, presented on a hillside is just a short walk away. The buildings in the village are just beautiful, having sprung up around its Benedictine Abbey. There is also a good choice of country pubs along with a tea room and newsagents for supplies.
