Sweeping with boundless areas of unspoilt countryside in the northeastern folds of the Snowdonia National park, is Cwn Pennant. Once home to slate quarries served by a narrow gauge railway, it is now a peaceful village, offering easy access to the coastal towns of Porthmadog and Harlech. There are many walking trails, way-marked paths and vigorous climbs to be discovered, taking in glorious scenery along the way, including glistening waters, craggy mountains and grasslands. Nearby, there are lovely sandy beaches, charming villages and plenty of attractions to keep you entertained, including the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway, Criccieth Beach and strolls along the waterside in Portmeirion.
