The cottage is located in Polruan a traditional Cornish village set within easy reach of the village shop pub and quay with beach right on your door step. The ideal spot to sit and watch the world go by. Alternatively take the regular passenger ferry over to Fowey with further amenities. Head further afield and visit the National Trusts Lanhydrock House with its extinctive woodland and riverside paths to explore. Other days out in the area include the Eden Project for thrill seekers there why not experience Englands longest zip wire? Hangloose Adventures with its Giant Cliff Swing and SkyWire. Take a trip at Bodmin and Wenford railway or get competitive with ten pin bowling at Ozzell Bowl in St Austell. Entering the cottage on the middle floor you are welcomed by the open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area which enjoys lovely views over the estuary. After a busy day exploring relax on the sofa watch a film on the Smart TV and DVD and enjoy the crackle of multi fuel burner. Gather around the dining table with seating for four and plan your next day trip. Prepare a feast in the well-equipped kitchen area with electric oven hob microwave dishwasher. There is also a separate utility room just of the kitchen with washing machine tumble dryer and freezer. On the lower ground floor is a twin bedroom which is nautically themed with hand basin. Heading up to the first floor is the king bedroom with wonderful harbour views reading corner with arm chair and a small dining table with seating for two the perfect spot to have breakfast and enjoy the everchanging scenery. Completing the upstairs accommodation is the family bathroom with bath shower and WC. Heading outside the utility room leads to the back door and out onto the small patio area with seating and river views. Due to the location of the cottage along West Street there is NO access to cottage by car. There are 8 steps down to the cottage. A luggage drop off point is approx. 100 yards from the cottage. There is no parking at the property however parking is available at the nearby car parks (charges apply ). Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 king size and 1 twin (The twin room is below the ground floor and the double room is on the top floor). 1 bathroom. Electric oven and hob, fridge and dishwasher. Utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer. Multifuel burner. Electricity and night storage heating included. Bed linen and towels included. Polruan is a quaint little village situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging.. Many of the amenities, ferries and cottages in Polruan are accessed via slopes/ steps some of which can be steep. Please contact us if you have specific requirements.. There are many small winding roads in and around the village may not be suitable for cars, therefore many properties in Polruan do not have private parking. However, there is a large pay and display carpark at the top of the village..
