Take the regular passenger ferry across to Fowey with its independent shops handcrafted jewellery and local art or relax in a cafe or pub on the riverfront and watch the world go by. For family days out visit the Eden Project Porfell Wildlife park or for thrill seekers theres Adrenalin Quarry with thrilling zip wire and giant swing or Hangloose Adventures with skywire. For a slower paced day take a trip on the Bodmin and Wenford Railway. For natural wonders there is Carnglaze Caverns St Nectarns Glen Cardinham Woods the Lost Gardens of Heligan and easy access onto the South West Coast Path. Many of the amenities, ferries and cottages in Polruan are accessed via steps some of which can be steep. Please contact us if you have specific requirements.. There are many small winding streets that are not suitable for cars, therefore many properties in Polruan do not have private parking. However, there is a large pay and display carpark at the top of the village..
