Large family friendly cottage in the heart of Polruan a small fishing village in the parish of Lanteglos-by-Fowey in Cornwall bounded on three sides by water. The village has two pubs and a passenger ferry that will take you across to Fowey. The neighbouring village of Bodinnick to the north is connected by a four mile walk along the hill tops. There are plenty of places to go walking from Polruan or if its a day out you are looking for why not head to visit the tall ships at Charlestown take the brewery tour in St Austell or visit the Eden project and/or the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Also for those interested in stately homes why not visit Lanhydrock in Bodmin. As you arrive and open the stable door you can t help but feel at home as you enter the welcoming sociable lounge/diner with views over the boatyard to the river. This spacious room features a large dining table looking out on the river along with plenty of seating arranged around the impressive wood burner perfect for relaxing during the cooler months. So sit back relax and catch up on your favourite TV programme or movie on the Smart TV and Blue ray DVD. From the lounge you will step into the compact but well-equipped kitchen which looks out onto the patio area. Equipped with an electric oven and hob microwave fridge with freezer compartment and dishwasher. There is also a useful external utility room across the patio with washing machine tumble dryer and additional fridge/freezer.Heading up the stairs to the first floor you will find two double bedrooms a bunk bedroom and the bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Taking another flight of stairs up to the second floor to the master double bedroom with seating to make the most of the beautiful views over the river and an en-suite shower and WC. Outside there is a patio area to the back of the property which is a sun trap for the late evening sun perfect for al fresco dining - Parking is available in the public car park nearby. Overlooking the working boatyard in the village. Polruan is a quaint little village situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging.. Many of the amenities, ferries and cottages in Polruan are accessed via steps some of which can be steep. Please contact us if you have specific requirements.. There are many small winding streets that are not suitable for cars, therefore many properties in Polruan do not have private parking. However, there is a large pay and display carpark at the top of the village..
