DETACHED LODGE JUST A SHORT STROLL TO THE BEACH
This delightful property is set on a small development a short walk from the beach, shops and restaurants in the pretty village of Porthtowan.The village nestles in a narrow winding valley flanked by impressive granite cliffs and is a haven for keen walkers.
This lovely little village has a couple of good pubs and shops, as well as the long sandy beach, which is perfect for sandcastle competitions or great for those who just enjoy relaxing with family and friends. Positioned in one of the most popular parts of Cornwall, the beach itself is huge at low tide extending to St Agnes Head in the north and joining up with Chapel Porth Beach. Exposed to the Atlantic Ocean it produces great surf with powerful hollow waves. If you wish to go further afield there is plenty to see and do with many seaside towns and villages to explore including Padstow, Rock and St Ives to name a few. Other popular family attractions include The Eden Project at St Austell, Maritime Museum at Falmouth, Lands End, Newquay Sealife Centre, Cornish Goldworld and numerous National Trust properties. Cornwall's cathedral city of Truro with its cobbled streets, boasts a wealth of shops, as well as a theatre and cinema is well worth a visit.
The property is situated on a hillside and approached via a flight of approximately 15 steps, offering TWO bedrooms: both upstairs and accessed via a spiral staircase, 1 double with balcony and seating and 1 twin.
Bathroom: downstairs, with bath, shower cubicle and WC. Lounge / kitchen / diner: open-plan with ample seating, TV and DVD. The kitchen area is well-equipped with cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine.
Outside: enclosed decked area with seating plus a small grassed area.
Amenities: 1 allocated car parking space by the property. Bed linen, electric, central heating and wi-fi included. Regret no smoking. 3 well-behaved dogs by arrangement.
