Rooftops cottage North York Moors and Coast
Rooftops is a comfy duplex apartment in a Georgian building in the heart of the market town of Kirkbymoorside. The apartment has three bedrooms on the second floor, a double with en-suite basin/WC, and 2 twin bedrooms. There is also a family bathroom on this floor. On the first floor is a well-equipped kitchen, a dining room, and sitting room with electric fire. Outside, parking can be found on the roadside, and there is a rooftop terrace for guests to relax on. Rooftops makes a very convenient base for families or friends to enjoy so much of the area, from abbeys and castles to railways, markets and of course, stunning scenery.
Positioned on the edge of the North York Moors National Park and set between Helmsley and Pickering is the attractive market town of Kirkbymoorside. Full of traditional Yorkshire buildings, this pretty town is the centre for all local farms and villages. Visitors to this lovely settlement will find a variety of tea-rooms, pubs and restaurants in addition to a number of high quality antique shops. There is also a market every Wednesday. Nearby Pickering is also worth visiting as the base of the North York Moors Steam Railway. With excellent walking and cycling routes though the magnificent scenery of the National Park, in addition to villages of Hutton le Hole and Lastingham all within easy driving distance, visitors to Kirkbymoorside will be spoiled for choice.
