Gwithian Sands is just 10 minutes drive (catch the tide right and you have 6 miles of beach a stunning stretch of coastline. Cornwalls north coast boasts many excellent beaches several of which are within easy reach including Portreath Porthtowan and Perranporth. Jump in the car for five miles and you ll reach Hayle which offers not only a long stretch of golden sand but also several shops pubs and restaurants. A little further afield the vibrant fishing town of Falmouth makes for a fun day out with its Maritime Museum restaurants galleries and shops.
