Tucked away on a quiet road in the working fishing village of Rye Harbour this pretty cottage provides the perfect base from which to experience the dramatic land and seascapes of the Nature Reserve. The village boasts a popular gastropub sailing club village shop cafe tea room and art gallery. Venture a little further on foot and you ll reach Rye Harbour Nature Reserve with its shingle ridges saltmarsh and saline lagoons 90 species of birds nest here. The historic Cinque Port town of Rye is only two miles away and is perfect for exploring local antique shops along the medieval cobbled streets with pubs restaurants and tea rooms. For the perfect summers day head to the stunning sandy beach at Camber Sands. The sunny yellow front door of the cottage opens into a light filled spacious hall. A Victorian hat stand provides useful hanging space for dropping off hats coats and buckets and spades. Contemporary and charming the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner features a large corner sofa on which to curl up in front of the cosy wood burner and play a board game or watch TV. The well-equipped kitchen offers an electric range oven and hob fridge with ice compartment freezer and dishwasher. From the kitchen table enjoy views to the courtyard style garden. Also on the ground floor you will find a cheerful twin bedroom and a bathroom with a shower over bath and a WC. The washing machine and tumble dryer are located in a cupboard in the bathroom. Painted stairs lead up to the first floor where there is a large open area with sea views a sofa bed and bean bags offer comfortable relaxation. The master bedroom is light and airy with a comfy king-size bed. Patio doors from the dining area open onto a small enclosed garden with a patio table and chairs and a charcoal BBQ for enjoying al fresco dining or if its raining hide away in the little conservatory listen to the radio catching up on your favourite novel or maybe some stargazing as there aren t any streetlights. Allocated parking is available for one car and there is a small amount of unrestricted roadside parking subject to availability. The private road can be quite bumpy but it is maintained by the residents. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 king size and 1 twin. 1 bathroom. Electric range oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment, freezer and dishwasher. Utility area in bathroom cupboard with washing machine and tumble dryer. Wood burner (first basket of logs included) Guests can purchase extra wood and kindling from the owner. Electric and central heating included. Bed linen and towels included. Allocated parking for 1 car. Wi Fi included. 1 dog welcome. Shop, pub, restaurant and beach within walking distance. TV/DVD. Sleeps 4 2 (with an additional sofa bed). Charcoal BBQ available.
