Ryelands Cottage forms part of a converted barn set near the town of Much Wenlock in Shropshire. This 700-year old market town is on the north east end of the Wenlock Edge, in the Shropshire countryside. The birthplace of the modern Olympics, the town is filled with winding streets, Black and White half-timbered buildings, shops, pubs and restaurants. Stroll round the remains of the 12th century priory, 16th century Guildhall, the Norman church and the Old Gaol House. Above the town is the Wenlock Edge, boasting views and walking, cycling, and riding opportunities. Nearby are the towns of Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth and Ludlow, the World Heritage Centre of Ironbridge with museums and Blists Hill Victorian Village, plus the Wroxeter Roman City and Stokesay Castle.
