Salen is a historic village with a small selection of shops and cafes and is also home to Aros Castle and the MacQuarie Museum two attractions well worth a visit. Meandering along the side of the island you can then visit the magnificent Ben More mountain before ending up at the village of Fionnphort where you can catch the ferry to the Isle of Iona for a further day of exploring. The perfect property for those who love an outdoors holiday you first enter through the porch with coat and boot storage before heading into the cosy living room. Throughout the house there is a traditional seaside feel particularly in the cosy living room that has brilliant antique brass portholes that cleverly light up to reveal painted ship scenes relating to the island. In the living room there are also beautiful beams and a wood-panelled wall with comfy seating perfect for finishing off a good book or relaxing in after a busy day.
