This newly converted, detached barn is situated in a very beautiful and peaceful area near the Devon / Somerset border, 2 miles from the town of Wellington and 9 miles from Taunton.
Perfect for walkers or cyclists with extensive footpaths and cycle routes nearby and ideal for exploring the Quantock Hills and the Blackdown Hills as well as being 40 minutes drive from Exeter and the East Devon coastline. There is a wealth of attractions close by including the West Somerset Steam Railway, Crealy Adventure Park, Hestercombe Gardens, Dunster Castle and many National Trust properties. In the immediate vicinity is an abundance of wildlife, stunning scenery and picture postcard villages. The River Tone forms the farms southern boundary, so there is the opportunity to fish and an area of ancient woodland for you to explore. Alternatively, relax in the garden or wander the cider apple orchards.
Farm activities: visitors are encouraged to explore the farm and join in with the farming activities. In the spring there are lambs to bottle feed and newborn calves to see.
The spacious and stylish accommodation is furnished and equipped to a high standard and offers THREE bedrooms: on the ground floor is 1 king-size with en-suite shower and WC, 1 twin room and 1 further king-size, all with oak flooring and underfloor heating.
Bathroom: family style with rustic slate floor, shower over bath and WC. Separate WC upstairs in utility room. Lounge / kitchen / diner: situated on the first floor, with exposed beams, flatscreen TV and DVD, CD / radio / iPod docking station. Dining area with large oak dining table. Well-equipped kitchen area with electric range style cooker, larder fridge, dishwasher and microwave. Small granite breakfast bar with stools. Utility room: with washing machine, freezer and WC.
Outside: french doors from the lounge lead out onto a raised decked area and patio with garden furniture and BBQ. Steps lead down to a large enclosed lawn. Secure shed with storage for bikes. A family of bikes are available to use at your own risk.
Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen, wi-fi available, electric and central heating included. Towels for hire. Regret no smoking. Regret no pets.
Location: variety of beaches within 40 minutes drive, family friendly inn and shop 1 mile and further shops and restaurants 2 miles. Arrival: 3.30pm.
