Located in the hamlet of Scethrog this the perfect place for a peaceful holiday. It is close to the village of Talybont with several pubs shop & post office and coffee shop. Active families will love the outdoor fun available at the Llangorse Activity Centre with its climbing wall and Cantref Adventure Farm both with pony trekking centres. For the more energetic visitor there are the peaks of Pen-Y-Fan or Corn Ddu. The Henry Vaughan Walk along The Brinoyre Tram Road takes you on a gentle stroll through the scenic Talybont valley or climb a number of footpaths up to the Beacons. Hire a boat on the Brecon and Monmouth Canal. You can fish in the canal or rivers some may be subject to gaining a fishing licence. The Wye too is a fine river but further afield. The whole area is studded with archaeological remains from past centuries including romantic castles and ancient settlements. If you do not feel energetic you can sit and look at the nearby river trees fields and many species of birds that live in them. Comfortable and beautifully decorated the cottage is very welcoming. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob microwave dishwasher and fridge. The dining table seats six people. The utility room off the kitchen has a washing machine tumble dryer freezer and a useful sink with a door to outside. There is also a downstairs cloakroom with toilet and wash basin. The cosy sitting room has a sofa and chairs and a wood burner. On warm days open the French doors to the patio and garden to enjoy the glorious views. There is a smart TV with Freeview channels and access to the internet. The master bedroom has a super king-size bed (which can be converted to two singles) and an en-suite shower room. A further bedroom has a small double bed while the third has twin beds. The family bathroom has a bath and a separate shower. No fossil fuels apart from logs are consumed by the bungalow. Electricity is largely from solar panels and heating is from an air source heat pump. Outside a pretty patio surrounds the house with outdoor furniture and parasol. The garden and lawn are enclosed and have well established shrubs and trees and flower borders. In front there is an area seeded with native wildflowers to promote wildlife and pollination. There is ample off-road parking close to the front door. Need to know: 3 bedrooms 1 super king size (can be made into two single beds), 1 double, 1 twin. 2 bathrooms 1 en suite shower, 1 bathroom with shower, 1 separate WC. Electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and a fridge. Utility room washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and a useful sink. Wood burner (initial supply of logs provided). Smart TV. Wi Fi included. Highchair and travel cot available. Enclosed lawned garden with patio. Off road parking. 2 dogs welcome and 3 on discussion with Owner. Storage and hose pipe for bikes. Shop, pub and restaurant 2.5 miles.
