VICTORIAN STONE LODGE IN A PEACEFUL WOODLAND LOCATION NORTH OF CRINAN
This impressive stone built Victorian property, built in 1855, has all the charm of the fairy tale 'Gingerbread House' with its pointed roof profile and overhanging eaves. Lovingly restored and furnished to a good standard, with lovely views over open countryside and Kilmartin Glen.
Just north of the property is Lochgilphead with shops, bike hire and a swimming pool. It has wonderful scenery covered in relics of prehistoric Scotland such as stone circles, chambered cairns, and sculptured stones. Visit the Kilmartin House Museum or walk in the beauty of the surrounding hills, fish on lochs and rivers, watch the boats on the Crinan Canal and taste the local seafood. Craobh Marina with docking space and facilities 10 miles.
This accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: on the 1st floor 1 double with king-size bed and 1 twin bedroom.
Bathroom: comprising of bath with shower attachment, WC and two hand basins. Ground Floor lounge: with open fire (initial basket of logs supplied), freeview TV, DVD player, hi-fi and payphone. Kitchen / diner: with dining table, wood-burning stove, fridge / freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher and microwave. Utility: with double size shower cubicle, wash basin and WC.
Outside: south facing private, well-tended, enclosed garden, with garden furniture.
Amenities: Bed linen, towels, electric central heating and starter supply of solid fuel included. (Further solid fuel can be purchased locally.) Regret no smoking or pets.
Additional info: Short breaks are charged as follows: 3 & 4 nights at 75% of the full weekly rates, 5 & 6 nights will be the full weekly rate.
