Southcliffe cottage Devon
Southcliffe is a cosy, waterfront property within walking distance of Kingsbridge.
With three bedrooms and a modern kitchen and with direct access to the estuary from the garden, this property sleeps six and is within a fifteen-minute drive of Salcombe. There is parking for one medium-sized car in a shared parking bay on Embankment Road whilst two well-behaved dogs permitted on the ground floor only. Broadband internet available. Strictly no smoking. Without doubt, Southcliffe is perfect for water sports enthusiasts.
The bustling market town of Kingsbridge lies at the head of a marine estuary in the attractive South Hams area of South Devon. During the summer season there are river excursions to Salcombe to see the abundant wildlife in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), which also forms part of the South Devon Heritage Coast. Visitors can take a walk along the Kingsbridge Quay, to the Crabshell Inn, where you can hire stand up paddleboards, or wander through the narrow alleys off Fore Street. Kingsbridge is a central location to explore picturesque ports, such as Dartmouth and Salcombe, together with sandy beaches at Blackpool Sands and the two sandy beaches at Thurlestone. There are a host of small attractive villages nearby offering interesting pubs, local farm produce shops and pretty rows of cottages, plus further afield the waterfront city of Plymouth is a vibrant centre housing the National Marine Aquarium, historic Barbican Quay and plenty of night life, including theatres, restaurants and bars.
