St Edmunds Court is situated in the beautiful village of Vobster, having been refurbished to provide luxury living for those wishing to escape for some peace and tranquillity. A spacious four-bedroom converted barn within easy reach of Bath (13 miles). Guests will enjoy the light and airy rooms, lovely décor and the option of a cosy wood burning stove on the first floor or an open log fire on the ground floor.
The Vobster Inn is within easy walking distance and the area offers many local attractions for those wishing to explore further afield. It’s just down the road from Babington House, part of the Soho House Group. The Village Shop in Mells has a charming Café, and family gastro style pubs include The Talbot at Mells and the Archangel in Frome town centre, both of which have lovely outside dining areas. Vobster Quay is adjacent to the farm for those that wish to have a Scuba Diving experience.
Surrounded by 5 acres of gardens, streams and a wildlife meadow, St Edmunds Court is part of Upper Vobster Farm and as guests you will be welcome to enjoy all that is on offer there. It extends to 60 acres made up of fields, woodland, lakes and ponds and crossed by a number of footpaths making it easy to explore and offering the perfect escape to nature. Spot wildlife along the forest footpaths or visit the farm’s animals including a flock of North Ronaldsay rare breed sheep, pygmy goats, various ducks, which live in their own miniature castle, and a mixture of hens. Take a walk to one of the two lakes, one with a beach and the other near an old stone bridge that leads you on to the old drovers way. Grasses and wildflowers are abundant in summer, bluebells and wild garlic in spring and numerous fungi in autumn. Winter frosts leave an enchanting feel to treasure when you’re all wrapped up and can come back to a warm fire.
Also available to book in the farms grounds are Lavender Cottage and Rosemary Cottage. Rosemary and Lavender Cottage are available to book together and can be opened up to become one property.
