CHARMING COTTAGE IN THE HEART OF A PICTURESQUE CORNISH VILLAGE, SLEEPS 5 + 1
This Grade II listed period cottage oozes character and is nestled between two of Cornwall’s most popular destinations; Tintagel and Padstow.
Tintagel is steeped in all the myth and legend of King Arthur. Padstow, renowned for its celebrity chef Rick Stein, has a working harbour and narrow winding streets packed with boutiques and Cornish fayre. Port Isaac is 3 miles away and is known to many as the setting for ITV’s Doc Martin and Saving Grace; the village offers a selection of traditional pubs and restaurants. There are many sandy coves and beaches within easy reach. Bodmin Moor is also nearby with its many walks and ancient monuments.
The accommodation offers THREE bedrooms, approached via the steep cottage style stairs, all of which have original wooden floors: 1 spacious super-king-size double, 1 twin and 1 further small double perfect for one person, very cosy for two.
Bathroom: bath with shower over and WC.
Lounge: with TV / DVD, selection of games and DVD's, woodburner (first basket of logs supplied) and original slate floor. Kitchen: galley-style with integrated electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and small freezer. Dining / snug area: dining table and chairs, some additional seating, iPod docking station and CD player. Utility room: separate with washing machine.
Outside: an enclosed rear courtyard offers garden furniture and BBQ.
Amenities: off-road parking for 1 car. Bed linen, towels, electric, night storage heating and wi-fi included. Regret no smoking within the property. 1 well-behaved dog welcome.
Additional info: not recommended for babies or children under the age of 6 due to the steep staircase.
Location: beach 3 miles, shop and pub a 1 minute walk. Arrival: 3pm.
