The leafy Victorian spa town of Strathpeffer (1 mile) was a renowned European health resort and today is a popular destination for visitors to the Highlands due to its position on the North Coast 500 route. Browse the independent stores sample local produce in the restaurants and enjoy a dram of whisky in the welcoming pubs. The town is also home to the Strathpeffer Pavilion which hosts music and arts events throughout the year. Pick up your paddle for a sea kayak adventure from Garve (8.5 miles) or enjoy a round of golf at one of the nearby courses. Further afield explore the historic town of Inverness (17 miles) or spend the day in the picturesque fishing village of Ullapool (40 miles). Enjoying a peaceful location your holiday home is approached via iron gates leading onto the gravelled driveway. Step through the front door into the welcoming entrance hall where there is space to hang up coats and take off walking boots and wellies. Your living room is a cosy and inviting space with hardwood floors and bright artwork. Sink into one of the comfortable sofas after a busy day of exploration for quiet conversation or a family board game. Two steps lead up to the kitchen/diner where the hardwood flooring continues giving a sense of unity of space. Rustle up family meals in the sleek kitchen which comes complete with everything you require to produce hearty family meals including electric hob and oven under-counter fridge and separate freezer and a dishwasher. Stay on top of laundry with the handy washing-machine. After supper make the most of the evening sun relaxing with a glass of your favourite tipple in the conservatory a lovely spot to sit and watch the wildlife flit around the gardens. When its time for slumber there are three comfortable bedrooms spread across two floors. The ground floor king-size bedroom features a grand wooden bedframe with plump mattress and dressed in crisp linens. There is ample storage for your belongings and a cosy armchair to sit and enjoy your morning coffee. A spacious shower room with WC can also be found on the ground floor. Head upstairs where the remaining bedrooms and second shower room can be accessed from the landing area. The spacious king-size bedroom is a restful space with neutral tones and gleaming wood furniture enjoying views across the countryside. The third bedroom has cosy twin beds and also enjoys views across the open countryside. Outside there is a large lawn area for ball games or family picnics or enjoy al fresco dining on the patio table and chairs. There is also a handy shed for bike storage.
