This lovely cottage is ideal for discovering the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Talybont-on-Usk has some friendly pubs and restaurants and makes a good starting point for walks including the Brecon and Monmouth Canal and the Brinore Tramroad which begins opposite the cottage or you can easily join the Taff Trail which leads down to Cardiff. The picturesque Talybont Reservoir is nearby (2 miles) as are the waterfalls of Blaen Y Glyn (7 miles) the Cantref Adventure Farm (5 miles) and Llangorse Lake (7 miles). The bustling market towns of Brecon (7 miles) and Crickhowell (8 miles) are within easy reach and have a welcoming and friendly range of pubs shops cafes and restaurants. This cheerful warm and bright holiday cottage features a spacious and welcoming lounge/diner which is an ideal space to unwind in at the end of a fabulous day. With a warming wood burner TV DVD and plenty of seating you can snuggle up in the lounge late into the night with a good movie. The dining area is perfect for sharing a favourite family meal. A couple of steps lead down from the lounge/diner into the beautiful handmade wooden kitchen which is equipped with a double oven microwave fridge freezer and washing machine. The ground floor also features a bathroom complete with a shower over the bath and a WC. An original steep cottage-style staircase curves behind the fireplace and chimney and leads up to the first floor where there are two light and cosy bedrooms both tastefully decorated and attractively furnished. The first room is a pretty double bedroom and the second which is accessed via a couple of steps down is a charming twin bedroom. This room has exposed beams and a very low sloping ceiling so is probably unsuitable for taller guests. This floor also features a stylish bathroom with a free-standing roll-top bath with hand-held shower and a WC. Back downstairs doors lead out to the lovely sheltered and secluded riverside garden which features a summerhouse BBQ and outdoor furniture so you can sit back and watch the birds and the River Caerfanell in the morning. Please note the river runs past the garden so dogs and young children should be supervised. Bike storage is also available and theres roadside car parking.
