Tan Twr - Chellow Cottage cottage Wales
This carefully restored farm building retains much of its original character - even its name, Chellow, recalls one of its long-gone bovine inhabitants!
"Named after one of the cows that used to be milked here! A lovely spacious house in a splendid setting."
Chellow Holiday Cottage sits in a splendid location and has been refurbished to a very high standard to provide warm, contemporary accommodation. The views stretch over open fields towards the Menai Strait and Caernarfon Castle - a stunning sight when it is floodlit in the evenings, with the backdrop of Snowdon and the twinkling lights of the hillside villages.
Chellow Cottage is located next to Tan Twr Farm Cottage. This is a private, converted farm where privacy between each cottage is highly valued. Alternatively, these two cottages would make a fantastic venue for a large group of guests holidaying together.
The small village of Dwyran is close to its larger neighbour of Newborough, which lies on the edge of forests and dunes at the south west corner of Anglesey. Close by is Llanddwyn Bay, renowned as one of the finest beaches in Britain, ideal for swimming, canoeing, beachcombing and birdwatching or just relaxing. Behind the beach, the 1500-acre sand dune system of Newborough Warren is home to skylarks, meadow pipits and oyster catchers as well as toads and lizards and is protected as a National Nature Reserve, while the Red Squirrel Wood at Newborough Forest has miles of great routes for walking, mountain biking and horse riding. The Anglesey Model Village, set in one acre of beautifully landscaped gardens, Anglesey Sea Zoo, Beaumaris Castle, many golf courses and miles of wonderful beaches, are only a short drive away.
