The Cart Shed cottage North York Moors and Coast
The Cart Shed is a quality detached property set on the edge of the hamlet of Stamford Bridge, a few miles from York city centre. The three bedrooms are very welcoming – a ground floor double with en-suite bathroom, a first floor double with en-suite shower room, and a first floor twin, also with an en-suite shower room. There is an additional ground floor cloakroom. The fitted kitchen has underfloor heating, and there is a dining room, and a sitting room with doors to the garden, The cottage enjoys panoramic country views, and there is a large enclosed garden and off road parking for three cars. As well as the delights of York there is the beauty of the Yorkshire Wolds to discover, making The Cart Shed an ideal base for this part of Yorkshire.
The city of York is a wonderful town, with a huge array of activities. Once known as Jorvik, this vibrant town was a major Viking centre of commerce and boasts a huge selection of architecture from a variety of historical periods. From the city walls to the charming shopping street known as The Shambles, York has something for everybody. There are various cruises available down the river Ouse and visitors can enjoy the National Railway Museum, the Castle Museum and Betty`s Tea Rooms – home of Yorkshire Tea and an incredibly unique mirror from the Second World War on which service men visiting the café could write their names with a diamond-tipped ‘pen`. Further afield are the Yorkshire Dales and Moors as well as the coastal resorts of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey, making this an incredibly diverse destination.
