St Columb Minor is a quiet village off the main road into Newquay. The village is known for its food and local ales, as well as a range of weekly events. There is a pub with a magnificent village church opposite, dating back to 1430, and the high tower has been a landmark for generations of fishermen. There is a selection of lovely beaches in nearby Newquay, including the family-friendly Porth Beach, a lovely sandy beach with a sheltered aspect, protected by headlands on both sides.
