The Dairy cottage Wales
This barn-conversion still retains much of its original charm through the retention of features such as exposed beams and stripped-pine flooring. The property has a wonderful farmhouse kitchen and a games room with table-tennis, table-football and a pool table; ideal for entertaining younger guests. In the summer months, French windows take you out onto a patio from which you can enjoy a glass of wine on a summer evening. In the colder seasons, the property has central heating throughout, making it a superb and spacious base for groups of up to eight people.
Rossett lies just inside the Welsh border, sitting on the banks of the River Alyn. It is surrounded by good, gentle walking country with much of the landscape being very flat, although hills do rise to the south and west. The village itself is made up of many striking buildings, such as Trevalyn Hall and a church that was built in 1892 by two architects and uses tubular bells to peal. Rossett is well situated for visitors to explore local attractions such as Chester Zoo, the Cheshire Ice Cream Farm and the ancient ruins of Beeston Castle. The River Alyn offers sport and tranquillity for fishermen and wildlife enthusiasts alike. Herons, cormorants, water voles and kingfishers are still to be seen along the Alyn and the fishing is plentiful.
