The Farmhouse cottage Devon
The Farmhouse is a wonderful old house in the heart of a Dartmoor farmstead near Lydford. The house sleeps ten people in two double bedrooms (one can convert to twin and the other has additional single bed if required), a single and a room with two sets of bunks. There is an upstairs bathroom and extra WC and a downstairs shower room. On the ground floor are a living room and sunroom, dining room with open fire, kitchen and laundry room. Outside is a secluded garden with barbecue and 250 acre farm to wander and help on. The house shares an outdoor swimming pool, tennis court and games room. Additional fun activities can also be arranged. The Farmhouse is a fabulous place with masses for families to do and see.
Nestling among mature woodland on the western slopes of Dartmoor, the historic village of Lydford is a jewel in this area of outstanding scenic beauty. To the north, just half a mile away, the high tors come right down to the village edge, while to the south the River Lyd winds its way through Lydford Forest on its tumbling course northwards.
