The Guns cottage Devon

The Guns is within the civil parish of Beaford in Devon. The cottage has two bedrooms, including a double and a twin, and one bathroom, it can sleep a group of four together. The interior also comes with a kitchen, a dining room and a sitting room with a woodburning stove. The kitchen doors open up to a patio with furniture, while there is also a car park close by, The Guns is suitable for a couple get away or a family looking for a cosy stay.

Beaford is a small rural village in North Devon, with a haunted pub and close to the spectacular RHS garden at Rodemoor. Four miles away is Great Torrington, an unspoilt town built on high ground above the River Torridge, and is a short drive from the spectacular North Devon Coast at Westward Ho!. With historic links to the Civil War, the Torrington 1646 attraction at Castle Hill in the town gives an interesting insight to the Roundheads and Cavaliers. Another leading tourist attraction is Dartington Crystal where visitors can see craftsmen blowing and shaping glass, follow the history of glassmaking and buy some beautiful pieces. The town has a good selection of individual shops, a friendly atmosphere, and some good inns. There are many villages to visit on the North Devon Coast, including picturesque Clovelly, built on a steep hillside above the sea, Westward Ho! with fabulous sandy beaches and Hartland village with narrow streets, village square and Hartland Point with breathtaking sea and coastal views. Great Torrington is a quiet, convenient base from which to explore North Devon, the Tarka Trail and the rolling Devon landscapes.
