The Old Chapel cottage North York Moors and Coast
The Old Chapel is a quirky and unusual former chapel in the hamlet of Thorgill near Kirkbymoorside. The property has three bedrooms; a ground-floor double and two twins, sleeping six guests. There is a ground-floor shower room, first-floor cloakroom, a kitchen/diner and a sitting room with a woodburning stove. Outside there is off-road parking available, as well as a large front lawn with a bench and table, as well as picturesque countryside views. The Old Chapel is a charming base from which to explore the North York Moors.
The old market town of Kirkbymoorside lies on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, between Helmsley and Pickering. It is the centre for local farms and villages, as well as a variety of shops, tea rooms, pubs, restaurants and antique shops, while market day runs each Wednesday. The excellent walking and magnificent scenery of the North York Moors National Park is within easy reach, as are the picturesque villages of Hutton-le-Hole and Lastingham.
