The Stables at Daldorch cottage Scotland
The Stables at Daldorch is a wonderful, detached stone cottage, ideal for friends and families, situated amongst rural arable farmland near Mauchline, beside the owner`s home. The cottage is set solely on the ground floor, with one double bedroom with an an-suite shower room, and a twin room. There is also a bathroom with a walk-in shower, a kitchen with a dining area and French doors opening into the garden, and a sitting room with a double sofa bed and a woodburning stove. The garden is lawned, with beautiful views, furniture and a barbecue, and there is also ample space for off road parking. With the River Ayr Way running by the cottage, and many walking and cycle routes across the Galloway Hills, The Stables at Daldorch is a great base for those wishing to get out and explore this stunning, rural region.
The village of Mauchline sits peacefully in the lovely hills and countryside in an ideal spot for exploring the beautiful scenery of Ayrshire and the Isle of Arran. Mauchline is probably most famous for being the home of Robert Burns, who farmed in the area for many years and the house he shared with his wife Jean Amour, is now a museum and part of the Burns Trail. There are several golf courses including The Royal Troon close to the village. Culzean Castle is a magnificent National Trust for Scotland property and has been the principal seat of the Kennedy Family since 1759. The country park is 600 acres and has so many attractions for visitors to enjoy.
