The Stables cottage Dorset and Somerset
This pretty barn conversion is situated amidst the owner`s 130 acres of wooded farmland, just three miles from the centre of Sturminster Newton. Expertly renovated to an exceptionally high standard, this property boasts exposed beams throughout and provides wonderful views over the Blackmore Vale. With two charming bedrooms, a well equipped fitted kitchen and a traditional sitting room, this is a spacious property. This beautiful region is apparently where the author Thomas Hardy drew much of his inspiration and it is said that he wrote `Return of The Native` whilst living in the town. The surrounding area is packed with thatched cottages, numerous rural walks, stunning views of the countryside, and fascinating towns such as Sherborne with its abbey and castle. The beautiful Dorset Heritage coastline is also within easy reach and not only offers great water sport opportunities but also great bird watching, making this an ideal base all year round!
