Easby Abbey is just a mile away. Beyond Richmond lie the glorious Yorkshire Dales (about 2.5 miles to the outskirts) with miles of beautiful walks to enjoy. Among many attractions in the Dales are The Forbidden Corner (14 miles) Castle Bolton (13.5 miles) and the ruins of Richard IIIs castle at Middleham (12 miles).
