This contemporary house is ideally located between the Peak District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks making it the perfect location for those wanting to relax and explore. Thornton is the birthplace of the Bronte family and is just a short drive from the beautiful village of Howarth with its links to all things Bronte. This is a hive for independent businesses boasting chocolate shops and eateries and is famous for little festivals such as Steampunk and the 1960s weekend. The rugged Pennine Way passes nearby as does the Sustrans National Cycle Network both extremely popular with cyclists and walkers alike. Top Withens and the Bronte waterfalls are also close by as it the UNESCO World Heritage site Saltaire perfect walking for Clayton Beck. Shibden Hall and the Duke of Wellington Regiment military museum that has provided costumes for BBC drama Gentleman Jack are only a 10 minute drive away. The property is approached up a steep driveway to a side entrance into the boot room. On entering you ll be amazed by the contemporary open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner perfect for socialising or just relaxing after a day of exploration bio-folding doors opening out onto a large patio area where you can enjoy al fresco dining and take in the views of the garden.
