Tunley is a picturesque Hamlet in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty above the valley where the River Frome runs offering easy access to a wealth of gardens National Trust and English Heritage sites. The Cotswold Way passes nearby for keen walkers along with the historic canal with towpaths meandering through the valley into Stonehouse. For those looking for a little more adventure there is the Cotswold Gliding Club offering day courses. Gatcombe Park for enthusiastic eventers Bath Badminton Tetbury and Cheltenham for the races theatre and seasonal festivals to include the literature and food festival to name but a few. Take afternoon tea in Painswick with a visit to the Rococo garden. For those wishing to relax the acres of woods surrounding the chapel make a peaceful haven. A country footpath walked mainly by locals wends its way past the property and into the woods which have a unique and peaceful ambience. You get a real sense of the calm and tranquillity of the surroundings as you wander into the original entrance of this former chapel. The main entrance gives way to the formal dining hall with exposed stone walls vaulted ceilings and a bespoke made wrought iron chandelier that simply finishes the room. The dining table can accommodate up to six guests and is great for entertaining. Take the stairs down to the ground floor where you will find the first snug a great place to hide with a good book or curling up on the sofa with a good movie on the TV. A larger lounge is also accessed via this small lobby with large sofas and armchairs two wood burners set into original fireplaces are waiting to be lit. The kitchen/breakfast room enjoys the light from the gardens and is well-equipped with electric oven and hob microwave fridge/freezer dishwasher washing machine and Nespresso coffee machine (no pods included). A small table and chairs sit to the side and is a great base for breakfast and morning coffee. There is also a separate WC on this floor. And when the time comes to say goodnight climb the stairs to the first floor where you will find three bedrooms a double with en-suite shower room with shower and WC a double with great views across the gardens and a further double bedroom. There is a bathroom with shower over bath and WC on this floor. The chapels sunken garden is accessed from the lower ground floor kitchen area. There is a patio area at the end of the garden with table and chairs where you can enjoy the late afternoon sunshine. There is ample off-road parking and 1 dog welcome. Need to know: 3 bedrooms doubles. 1 bathroom, 1 en suite shower room and a separate WC. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and Nespresso coffee machine (no pods included). Sonos music system in chapel and downstairs area.
