Tyddyn Ddeugoed cottage Wales
Tyddyn Ddeugoed is a fabulous holiday cottage in a glorious location, with views across open countryside towards the mountains, Caernarfon Bay and Anglesey. The owners have ensured that every little detail has been thought of so your stay is a complete joy! You are sure to have a restful and relaxing stay in such a peaceful part of Snowdonia.
"Oak floors, exposed stone walls, carefully combined with comfy contemporary furniture and a lovely location. This is a joy to visit."
This sympathetic conversion of 17th-century building has retained much of their original charm in the exposed stone walls, oak floors and pretty Gothic windows. Antique and modern furnishings have been carefully blended in each room.
With footpaths and cycle routes close by, including some brilliant dog friendly walks, this is a beautiful area to explore at a leisurely pace. It`s a short drive to the wonderful beaches of Anglesey, the lovely town of Caernarfon with its excellent shops, places to eat and drink and castle. The Snowdonia National Park is vast and contains spectacular scenery - it`s on the doorstep, too! Popular Llanberis is also within driving distance, as well as some of the finest attractions of North Wales. Despite being in a quiet location, there is a supermarket within a ten-minute drive, making your self-catering break that little bit easier!
Llanrug is a small village with two pubs, two shops, a Post Office, a hotel with indoor swimming pool and fitness room, and a 9 hole golf course is nearby. The village is situated in the foothills of the Snowdonia Mountain Range, only 3 miles from famous Llanberis. Dominated by the grandeur of the Snowdon Massif, Llanberis is flanked by two lakes, Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris, and is one of the most popular mountain tourist centres in the Snowdonia National Park. Llanberis is something of a `mecca` for walkers and climbers, being the starting point for the ascent of Snowdon - the highest mountain in Wales. The ascent can be made either by train, on the Snowdonia Mountain Railway, or on foot along one of the many routes to the summit. Llanberis boasts excellent places to eat and drink and a great choice of shopping. Just 4 miles from Llanrug, on the coast, is Caernarfon with its magnificent 13th century castle and town walls and close by are National Trust properties at Penrhyn and Plas Newydd and many wonderful beaches.
