COSY TRADITIONAL LODGE IN A PEACEFUL LOCATION
This traditional log house has lots of charm and character and is finished with a bright, stylish interior and attractive comfortable furnishings.
Located in a peaceful oasis on the edge of the Pentland Hills, the lodge stands in a secluded one-acre garden backing onto meadows. The spectacular 'Falls of Clyde', New Lanark World Heritage Village, horseriding, fishing, cycling, golf and hill-walking are all easily accessible. Day trips are possible to Edinburgh, the Scottish Borders, Glasgow, Stirling and The Trossachs. The picturesque and historic market town of Biggar is 4 miles away with shops, pubs and restaurants. Leisure facilities: New for 2014, 6 person arctic spa hot tub. Play facilities: outdoor children's play equipment. (Care is required with young children as there is a pond and stream.)
The unique lodge offers: THREE bedrooms: 2 doubles and 1 twin.
Bathroom: with Jacuzzi bath and shower. Lounge / kitchen / diner: open-plan living with log effect fire, TV, DVD, CD player and PlayStation 3. Kitchen area: gas hob, electric cooker, fridge / freezer, washer / dryer, dishwasher and microwave.
Outside: large decking areas and a south facing covered verandah with seating allow guests to enjoy al fresco dining in tranquil in scenic surroundings.
Amenities: Ample parking for 4 to 5 cars. Bed linen, towels, electric and central heating included. Wi-Fi available. 1 well-behaved dog welcome. Regret no smoking.
Additional info: hot tub charge £70 per week or £50 for a short break, payable directly to the owner. Short breaks are charged as follows: 3 & 4 nights at 75% of the full weekly rates, 5 & 6 nights will be the full weekly rate. There is ramp access for assisted wheelchair users or visitors with walking difficulties.
