Located a short walk from the historic town centre this character cottage, dating back to 1750, still retains a lot of its original charm yet benefits from complete modernisation throughout.
The traditional market town of Wareham is a short stroll from your door with its picturesque quay, from where you can hire a rowing boat or take a trip around Poole Harbour. The town benefits from plenty of restaurants and pubs as well as its weekly street market and monthly farmers market. A wealth of attractions are within easy reach including the National Trust's Corfe Castle, sandy beaches at Swanage, Studland or Poole, thousands of acres of nature reserves at Hartland, Arne or Stoborough, great for birdwatchers and nature lovers. The county town of Dorchester is easily accessible as is the larger town of Bournemouth with seven miles of sandy beaches.
This delightful cottage offers TWO bedrooms: 1 king-size double and 1 twin reached via steep cottage style stairs.
Bathroom: located on the first floor offers bath with shower attachment and WC and a further shower room with under-floor heating and WC located on the ground floor.
Lounge: benefits from a woodburner (first basket of logs included), flatscreen TV, DVD, Freeview and iPod dock. Kitchen / diner: with under-floor heating and well-equipped with electric range cooker, fridge with ice compartment and slim line dishwasher. Utility area: with microwave and washer / dryer.
Outside: enclosed garden with garden seating and BBQ.
Amenities: off-road parking for 1 small car, only reached via a narrow entrance to the rear of the cottage. Bed linen, towels (please bring your own beach towels), electric, central heating and wi-fi included. Childs buggy and booster seat available. Regret no smoking within the property. 2 well-behaved dogs welcome more by arrangement.
Additional info: narrow access to property, however there is additional adjacent street parking available.
