An idyllic thatched cottage nestled in this beautiful and peaceful riverside village with traditional village cricket club, park with children's play area and a short walk from the traditional village inn.
A stone's throw from the Tarka Trail where you can enjoy walking and cycling the leafy pathways which are a mass of bluebells in the springtime. Ideal for couples and families, being a short drive (6 miles) from the glorious sandy beach at Westward Ho! and 4 miles from the shops, pubs and restaurants in the nearby town of Bideford. Torrington is 3 miles away and offers an indoor swimming pool and heritage centre, highlighting the town's importance during the English Civil War. Other attractions include Dartington Crystal where you can watch glass being blown and even have a go yourself!
The accommodation offers comfortable, stylish furnishings and high quality equipment throughout. TWO bedrooms: 1 king-size with fitted wardrobes, and 1 twin room also with fitted cupboards (room for a cot in either).
Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC.
Lounge: with exposed beams and large stone fireplace with woodburner (first basket included then £5 each thereafter), large TV, DVD and hi-fi. Dining room: with large oak table (seats up to 6). Kitchen: with well-fitted units, granite work surfaces, SMEG fridge / freezer, separate integrated fridge ideal for wine / beer, gas cooker, hob, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and oil-fired Rayburn (which can be lit if required at additional cost £25 per week). Entrance hallway ideal for coats and shoes etc.
Outside: enclosed lawn garden (shallow cobbled steps on one side). Large decked area with BBQ and garden furniture which is ideal for evening drinks and offers views over the valley.
