This beautiful wing to the owners’ house is situated in the heart of an idyllic village overlooking the River Torridge and 500 yards from the traditional village pub serving local ales and food. Opposite the property is the cricket green and a park with a children’s play area.
The area is perfect for walkers with woodland walks and an abundance of wildlife on the doorstep and only a stone's throw from the Tarka Trail, where you can enjoy traffic-free walking and cycling (bike hire available locally). There is also the opportunity to launch canoes. Westward Ho! with 2 miles of golden sands, is a short drive away. The nearby town of Bideford offers shops, pubs, restaurants and day trips to Lundy Island. Torrington is 3 miles away and offers shops, golf, indoor swimming pool, The Plough Arts Centre, which houses a cinema and theatre, and Dartington Crystal, where you can watch glass being blown and even have a go yourself.
The accommodation is arranged over three floors and offers THREE bedrooms: 1 spacious double and 1 zip-and-link bed made as twin beds, which can be made into a double on request, both situated on the ground floor and 1 further single bedroom, located on the third floor and reached via steep cottage stairs.
Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC, located on the ground floor. Lounge / kitchen / diner: located on the first floor, open-plan, spacious room with SkyTV, DVD and French doors leading to a large balcony with seating that overlooks the garden and winding river beyond. Kitchen area, accessed via two steps down from the lounge / diner and equipped with cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer, microwave and views of river and playing field.
Outside: large, beautifully presented garden with seating and BBQ.
