A haven for walkers offering way-marked paths from the village that will guide you through the countryside. The market town of Shipston-on-Stour is within easy reach and offers a great selection of independent shops restaurants and cafes. Attractions within the area include Shakespeares birthplace Stratford-upon-Avon Warwick Castle Oxford with its dreaming spires and Cheltenham home of the Gold Cup. There are also many National Trust properties and gardens including Blenheim Palace and Chastleton House with Brook Cottage Garden the Bloxham Museum and the Civil War battlefield of Edgehill also well worth a visit. For shoppers Bicester shopping village is within easy access and offers a great day out. We re thrilled to welcome this beautiful property into our Joules Collection; look out for stylish touches throughout highlighting the quintessentially British features of this already picturesque cottage. Dating back to the 17th century you can step through the lovely old front door of this property directly into the lounge/diner with its white walls and washed oak floor and white shuttered windows. The lounge area is inviting and cosy with large inglenook fireplace and wood burner for romantic evenings in front of the TV. A cosy reading nook is situated here with aged leather chairs perfect for your morning coffee and reading the paper. In the dining area take your meals at the white scrubbed pine table with beautiful oak shaker chairs. This leads through to the delightful shaker kitchen with raw oak tops electric oven and induction hob microwave fridge with ice compartment dishwasher and washer/dryer. In the evening climb the stairs to the first floor where you will find the beautiful shaker-panelled king-size bedroom with its heavenly pillow-topped bed and luxurious bed linen complete with a hand-painted roll-top bath. A separate shower room with shower and WC is also situated on this floor. Please note that babes in arms are welcome but the property is not suitable for toddlers. There is no travel cot or high chair provided. Step outside and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening sun in the gardens to the rear of the cottage. A table and chairs sit within the patio which is well secluded. There is off-road parking for one car. Need to know: 1 bedroom king size. 1 shower room and free standing bath in bedroom. Electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Wood burner (first basket of logs included). Electric and central heating included. Off road parking for 1 car. Wi Fi included. 1 dog welcome. Pub within walking distance. TV in lounge. Babes in arms only as property not suitable for toddlers.
