Guisborough is an market town set in rural surroundings on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Steeped in history, Guisborough is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the town`s most notable feature is Gisborough Priory; standing in full glory, to its original height of 97 feet, the dramatic gothic east gable towers high over the market town and has become a well-known icon of the town. This small town has twice-weekly market days, a selection of eateries, pubs and shops. Around Guisborough sits Guisborough Forest; visitors can enjoy a variety of activities, including walking and cycling and take in views over the Tees Valley and Eston Hills.
