This traditional stone built cottage is situated adjacent to the owners' 16th Century traditional thatched farmhouse where they provide lunches and cream teas. Stunning views of the rolling Devonshire countryside can be enjoyed from our top fields where horses and sheep graze.
Situated at the foot of the Blackdown Hills, in the village of Wilmington, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Hugh Fernley Whittingstall's 'River Cottage H.Q' is 5 miles and Exeter, with many attractions and amenities for adults and children, is less than half an hour, Crealy Adventure Park just a 20 minute drive. For those wishing to explore the area you are within a few miles of the attractive coastline of East Devon, embracing the seaside resorts of Lyme Regis, Seaton and Sidmouth, as well as many other places. Outdoor pursuits include 4x4 off-roading, golf, fishing and horse riding to name a few, all being a short car journey.
The fully self-contained cottage nestles behind the farmhouse and offers split level accommodation comprising of TWO bedrooms: 1 bunk room and 1 double accessed via the bunk room.
Bathroom: accessed via both the bedrooms, with bath, seperate shower and WC. Lounge / diner: via steps lead down with TV / DVD and gas effect woodburner. Kitchen: via steps down, equipped with electric cooker, fridge / freezer, microwave and washing machine.
Outside: patio area approached via steep stone steps with seating. BBQ facilities available. Use of owners' garden terrace with seating.
Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen, towels, electric and wi-fi included, central heating timed twice daily. Regret no smoking. 2 dogs welcome, must be kept on a lead while in the property grounds but plenty of long walks and footpaths from the property where dogs can be let off.
Location: beach 11 miles, shop and garage 1 mile, pub 500 yards. Tea room on site. Arrival 3pm.
