Windsor Terrace cottage Peak District
Windsor Terrace is a quirky mid-terrace cottage in Buxton, Derbyshire. The cottage has three double bedrooms, one of which is on the second floor and one that can be a twin on request, as well as a family bathroom. The cottage can sleep six people in total. As well as this, inside there is a kitchen diner and a sitting room with an open fire. To the outside is free roadside parking and a rear courtyard with furniture. Windsor Terrace is a characterful cottage in a fantastic location, ideal for a family with plenty to see and do nearby.
During the 18th and 19th centuries, under the patronage of successive Dukes of Devonshire, the Palladian splendour of the Buxton of today was designed and built - including the Crescent, The Great Stable, Hall Bank, The Square, The Pavilion Gardens and The Opera House. Today visitors enjoy these magnificent buildings and gardens. There is walking close by with peaks to the north and hills and dales to the south as well as a number of towns dotted throughout including Bakewell, Ashford-in-the-Water, Castleton and Edale. The stunning Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are within driving distance and must be seen while visiting this area. A great base for exploring the Peak District.
