This group of 4 exquisite huts is exclusively yours tucked away in the hills yet just a run back down the hill into Hay-on-Wye complete with gorgeous little shops and eateries. A babbling brook the dramatic expanse of the Brecon Beacons Dark Sky Reserve overhead and an optional wood-fired hot tub to luxuriate in. The wood-fired hot tub is bookable on request for an additional fee. This is a perfect retreat to re-connect and get back to nature .or have a little glamping party with your mates! Located in one of the most spectacular locations in the National Park. Nearby Hay-on-Wye has an exceptionally well supplied yet quaint Thursday morning market pubs great independent stores and a world famous book festival each May and is just a few miles away. The River Wye is far below at the bottom of the mountain with canoe hire a great river side cafe bike pony and even Vespa hire. For thrill seekers Black Mountain Activities nearby has a long list of adrenaline-fuelled activities to keep you busy including gorge walking and high wire ropes. Leisure facilities: private wood-fired hot tub (on request for a fee of 150 for any stay duration.) This unique accommodation offers 4 shepherds huts each with a double bed wood burner (logs included). There is also a very well appointed Utility Hut which includes: shower room with shower and WC; kitchen with wood-fired Esse stove small fridge toaster kettle and sink. Outside guests will find an open fireplace with large fire pit at one end and BBQ at the other and a large canopied dining table. Amenities: ample parking. Electric included. Bed linen included. Regret no smoking. Additional info:electricity is provided by solar panels and wind turbines. Pedestrian access only to the huts via a step track. Easy to carry bags are recommended but wheelbarrows are provided to transport luggage to and from your hut! 2 dogs welcome however must be kept on a lead whilst outside. Arrival: 4pm. Need to know: SLEEPING: Sleeps 8. Luxury hand built shepherds' huts all in one unique and totally private site. Each sleeping hut comes complete table, chairs, wood burning stove with wood/firelighters provided. All linen is included please remember to bring your own towels. Prices displayed online are based on 8 guests across 4 huts. ADDITIONAL GUESTS: Across two fields the there is a main farmhouse and a self contained barn, both restored with every luxury in mind, if your party is larger than 8 you can also book the farm house which is called Great Escape Farm and sleeps 10 with 2 double sofa beds, so could sleep 14 on top of the 8 in the huts. HOT TUB: Use of the private wood fired hot tub, situated streamside beneath the trees, is an optional extra. It is charged at 150 for any stay duration. COOKING: The Utility Hut boasts a "proper" kitchen and comes complete with wood fired Esse stove, small fridge, toaster, kettle, heaps of pots, pans and plates. Hot and cold running water, as well as all fuel provided. Outside is a great open fireplace, perfect for getting together around with a large firepit at one end and barbeque at the other, as well as an enormous canopied dining table. There is a generous supply of barbeque equipment and fuel on arrival, as well as plenty of wood. KEEPING CLEAN: The Utility Hut is cleverly designed with one half containing a proper shower room, with hot and cold running water, a loo, shower and basin. GREEN CREDENTIALS: The huts are off grid and fitted with solar panels and wind turbines as well as having wood fired heating and cooking facilities. Eco friendly products are provided for cleaning and washing up too. There is no phone signal directly by the huts, although a short walk up the lane will find signal for most networks. ACCESS: As the huts are off grid to get to them you will need to walk down a track from the dedicated parking area. As the track is steep we recommend bringing bags that are easy to carry however a wheelbarrow is provided to make transporting your things a little easier. PETS: 2 dogs welcome, however must be kept on a lead outside due to nearby livestock. Dogs not allowed on the furnishings, or on beds. If this is ignored an extra cleaning charge could be applied. HOLIDAY PREPARATION: We would advise to contact local amenities directly, such as shops, restaurants, pubs and attractions, to confirm the latest opening times and availability.
