This delightful detached barn is situated in the heart of the owners working farm in the Somerset village of Yarlington. It is a charming location hidden in the hills near the source of the River Cam and is a short walk to the village pub. Sightseers have plenty of choice with numerous National Trust properties within a short drive many of which have been used as filming locations such as Montacute with Sense and Sensibility Stourhead with Pride and Prejudice and Barrington Court with Wolf Hall. Check out The Newt Hotel nearby which has a spa and gardens to explore. Longleat with its famous Safari Park is great fun for adults and children alternatively for those who like a flutter or simply enjoy the spectacle Wincanton Racecourse is close by. Upon entering the cottage guests will find an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with the well-equipped kitchen area featuring an electric oven and hob fridge/freezer dishwasher washing machine and microwave. The lounge area with cosy corner sofa and chair which are arranged around the TV and DVD is ideal for catching up with your favourite programmes. Also on the ground floor is a useful shower room with shower and WC. On the first floor there are three well-proportioned bedrooms one king-size one double and one single all with differing views over the farm and surrounding area. Also on this floor and accessed off the landing is a bathroom with shower over the bath and WC. Each room has a hairdryer. Venturing outside from the lounge/kitchen/diner guests can enjoy the large enclosed decked veranda with garden furniture and BBQ perfect for alfresco dining while enjoying the splendid views over the Somerset countryside. The property has a gravel driveway providing ample off-road parking. There are farm activities by arrangement guests are welcome to enjoy a full experience of the farm with a guided tour by the farmer watch the cows being milked and even help feed the calves.
