Drummer Cottage cottage North York Moors and Coast
This charming cottage is in a courtyard setting just a few minutes from the centre of the village and it offers a high standard of accommodation. The accommodation is all located on the ground floor. There are two double bedrooms which are spacious, light and airy and tastefully decorated, and the kitchen is well equipped and has a breakfast bar. The generous lounge is a comfortable, inviting room and is a lovely spot to relax in at the end of the day, and the modern bathroom is well appointed. The communal garden has a lawned and gravelled area with garden furniture and a barbecue. There is a shop and a cafe just a five minute walk away and the property is well placed to see this fabulous area and all it has to offer.
The quiet former fishing village of Skinningrove is situated on the Cleveland Way and is a collection of delightful cottages by a sandy beach. The village is home to a store and a public house. Skinningrove has a history of Ironstone mining and there is a museum in the area that tells the story of this industry and its influence on the village. The town of Saltburn is only six miles away and has kept much of its Victorian charm and character, including its pier, the colourful Italian Gardens and the oldest water balanced cliff tramway in Britain. Skinningrove is well placed to visit the many attractions in this region including the Abbey and harbour at Whitby and the dramatic North York Moors National Park, making it a great base for a holiday.
