On Exmoor National Park and nestling on the slopes of the Brendon Hills, the farm is in a small hamlet at the head of probably the most beautiful "combe" in the area, known as the hidden valley. You can relax in the tranquillity and privacy of the accommodation, yet benefit from the proximity of Taunton and Minehead.
The farm is approximately 20 minutes from the M5, J25. A short drive from the Somerset coast with beaches at Dunster, Minehead and Blue Anchor, it is also close to the Devon border giving access to much of North Devon in addition to the range of amenities in Somerset itself. There is a wealth of local attractions for adults and children alike, including the marina and wildlife park with its huge pirate ships at Watchet, the Norman castle at Dunster, windsurfing and sailing on Wimbleball reservoir, visit the West Somerset Steam Railway, cider farms, as well as the spectacular scenery and wildlife on Exmoor itself, best seen by taking a short safari. Among popular attractions within easy reach are Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole Caves, numerous adventure and animal parks, Clarks Village and Diggerland. Come rain or shine, there is no shortage of things to do or places to go. There are excellent local pubs, many with family rooms and some with outdoor play areas for young children. There is a good range of local shops (10 minutes).
Views from both cottages to rolling green tree-lined fields and grazing sheep.
